VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES
Every year, volunteers and interns come to Donkey Sanctuary Bonaire for a unique experience among the donkeys. Some stay for a few weeks, others return year after year. What they all share is a love for animals and the joy of truly making a difference.
On this page, they share their experiences. About their first encounter with the donkeys. About working in the warm sun. About the bond they form with the animals and the team. And about what it feels like to say goodbye, often with tears, but above all with a warm heart.
Be inspired by their stories.
