Directions to the Donkey Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is located south of Kralendijk below the airport. You can reach it heading south by the airport towards Belnem on the coast road EEG Boulevard or via Kaya Nikiboko Zuid heading towards Lac Bay.

From the airport
(or south on EEG Boulevard) Heading south after passing the entrance to Flamingo airport, you will have Winsock beach on your right. After you pass the end of the runway take your first left onto a dirt road. Continue straight along this dirt road for 2.4 km. The road borders the southern edge of the airport. The Donkey Sanctuary will be on your right.

Via Kaya Nikiboko Zuid
Heading towards Lac Bay from Kralendjik, you will drive through Tera Kora. You will see a sports field on your right hand side. The dirt road will be on your right. A sign marks the turn. This road will run south of the fenced border of the runway. The Donkey Sanctuary will be on your left.

The Donkey Sanctuary is open daily from 10:00am until 5:00pm daily; no entrance after 4:00pm.

After 4:00pm it is not possible to drive through the Safari Park.
